Lowe's Canada announces the opening of a new RONA affiliate store in Montréal in spring 2019

RONA Matériaux Pont-Masson will open in the Pierrefonds-Roxboro district

Boucherville, QC – November 8, 2018 – Lowe's Canada is proud to announce that its affiliated dealer RONA Matériaux Pont-Masson will open a sixth store at 10000 Gouin Boulevard West, in Montreal’s Pierrefonds-Roxboro district. This is the dealer's first store in the Greater Montreal area. The five other RONA Matériaux Pont-Masson stores are located in Valleyfield, Rigaud, and Mirabel, Quebec and in Alfred and Casselman, Ontario. The Pierrefonds-Roxboro store, which is expected to open in spring 2019, will create 25 to 30 jobs. A recruiting day will be held at the store on November 21 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In addition to its 9,000 sq. ft. of retail space, the store will come with a 70,000-sq.-ft. lumber yard, including a 15,000-sq.-ft. covered storage area. The store will include Paint, Lighting, Hardware, Electrical, and Tools departments as well as more specialised sections such as Building Materials, Plumbing, and Flooring. In addition, a dedicated commercial sales counter will help better serve contractors. The store will offer RONA banner's usual services, including delivery and paint take-back, in addition to estimating and a full range of engineering services.

Matériaux Pont-Masson was founded in 1979 by Richard Bailey, father of current co-owners Éric and Stéphane Bailey. The business joined the RONA family in 1996. Richard Bailey continues to work for the business as an advisor to the management team. In addition to its six stores, Matériaux Pont-Masson comprises three divisions: Matériaux Design, an interior and exterior home finishing showroom; Arctic Supplies, an export division in the Far North; and Structure du Nord, a roof-truss manufacturing plant.
