Lowe's Canada Announces The Opening Of A New Rona Affiliate Store In Blainville, Qc

Boucherville, Quebec, May 4, 2017 - Lowe's Canada is proud to announce that its independent affiliate dealer RONA Lespérance is consolidating its leadership position in the Laurentians by opening a third store, this time at Exit 28 off Highway 15, at 1425 Michèle-Bohec Blvd. in Blainville, Quebec. The new store is the result of an investment of nearly $10 million and will create 50 new jobs. The 40,000-square-foot retail space features large window displays, a 10,000-square-foot garden centre and a 22,500-square-foot indoor lumberyard. In addition, its accessibility and prime location will be key factors in its success.

"Our network of RONA independent affiliate dealers is growing, and this new store illustrates the vitality of our partners, who have once again chosen to build on the many strengths that make the RONA banner successful," said Alain Brisebois, Executive Vice-President, Affiliate Dealers and Operations Central Services at Lowe's Canada. "Since the beginning of the year, we have added five RONA stores and are proud to team up again with the Lespérance family for this store, which is strategically located in a booming commercial area."

"We gave ourselves the mission to offer our customers an unrivalled experience, which results in a wide range of high-quality products at competitive prices, along with personalized, courteous and fast service. We ensure that our customers have as much fun shopping at our store as our employees have working there," said André Lespérance, owner of the three RONA Lespérance stores.

In addition to putting customer experience at the top of its priorities, the new Blainville store is continuing with the implementation of the "going green" plan that the RONA Lespérance group adopted in 2010. Sustainability initiatives in the construction and home improvement industry are now standardized practices and rigorously applied to the daily tasks of RONA Lespérance employees.

"My father adopted the RONA banner in the mid-1960s and today, 50 years later, I'm proud to continue this tradition and be able to contribute to the growth of this banner. Thanks to RONA, I get unlimited support in developing and implementing my continuous improvement processes. RONA knows how to anticipate and support my needs, and is a valued partner for expanding and developing my business," added Mr. Lespérance.

With the involvement of its employees, suppliers and customers, RONA Lespérance continues to support several fundraising initiatives for research on degenerative neurological diseases. Its next fundraising activities, which will benefit familial ataxia, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease research, will be held in June, August and December respectively.

RONA Lespérance's two other stores are located on Curé-Labelle Blvd. in Blainville and René-A. Robert Blvd. in Sainte-Thérèse.
