After a year full of challenges, the AQMAT honours its members during its annual gala

Boucherville, QC – March 22, 2021 – Lowe’s Canada, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers, warmly congratulates the three winners from its RONA corporate and affiliated dealer network among the finalists that were acknowledged at the 9th Gala Reconnaissance organized by the Quebec Hardware and Building Supply Association (AQMAT):

  • Philippe Bovy, Store Manager, RONA Home & Garden Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Loyauté award
  • RONA Rivière-du-Loup, Société award
  • RONA Quincaillerie Beaubien, Spécialité award

Presented live online on March 20, this ceremony recognized employees, stores, and companies in Quebec’s home improvement industry.

“This gala is a unique moment where the outstanding work of our people and of our dealer network is recognized by our peers. After such an exceptional year, this well-deserved recognition is especially symbolic,” stated Tony Cioffi, Senior Vice-President, Stores at Lowe's Canada. “I’d like to personally congratulate our winning associates and dealers, and applaud all the finalists from our network. You and your colleagues’ efforts have allowed us to continue to meet our customer’s needs during a pivotal period for the industry.”

AQMAT’s Gala Reconnaissance rewards the best companies, innovative products, and the most deserving employees in the Quebec hardware and building materials industry. The competition’s applications were selected by popular vote, conducted among about a hundred members. This year, an independent panel of industry members awarded a total of 16 prizes, 8 of which were for stores and their employees. To learn more about the Gala, consult the gala.aqmat.org site.
